Estimates

Property owners, project developers and municipalities who want to carry out a demolition job, first and foremost want to know what the costs are. Drawing up estimates for a demolition project requires wide experience with comparable projects to be able to make a correct estimate of the costs. Search has this experience at its disposal and will draw up the estimate in a number of stages. To start with, there’s the budget estimate: this is drawn up on the basis of indicators and provides a rough estimate of the costs. This is followed by writing specifications and formulating the project plan. This stage includes gathering concrete data by investigating how much asbestos there is, if the demolition should or should not be carried out in phases, which structural problems may be encountered and what specific legislation or environmental factors the demolition contractor should take into account. On the basis of these data, a detailed demolition project budget is drawn up.

FROM BUDGET ESTIMATE TO DEMOLITION BUDGET

The demolition budget will provide the clients with a much more accurate image than the budget estimate and will serve as a frame of reference when inviting tenders. On the basis of this budget the tenders for the demolition project to be contracted out will be easy to judge. Search has years of experience drawing up budgets for demolition projects. Our experts are able to draw up all types of estimates, from budget estimates to detailed demolition project budgets. Writing specifications and project plans, applying for the correct permits and contracting out a demolition project is also part of our regular work, with which we serve numerous clients. In many demolition projects our budget experts demonstrated that they were able to make a correct estimate of the costs.
