Training Company Emergency Worker

Since 1994, the law requires companies, organisations and government agencies to train employees for in-company emergency response. By now, many companies and organisations have an efficiently organised company emergency -organisation (emergency response team), which consists of a team of company emergency -trained workers. However, some of them will leave their employment to join other companies, which obliges the organisation to repeatedly provide new people with an emergency response training. There are also new developments which make it necessary to raise the standard of knowledge.

Statutory obligation

An organisation should appoint at least one employee in every 50 workers as an emergency response person to help out in emergencies. An emergency response person should be trained well, to be able to act effectively in case of an accident or calamity. When an industrial accident, a fire or a bomb alert occurs, he will call in the emergency services and the authorities. He will render first aid in case of accidents, will extinguish a small fire and is able to supervise an evacuation.

Training Company Emergency Worker

Search has developed a wide range of training courses in the field of safety, environment, quality care and safety and health at work. The company emergency training comprises one day of theory and one day of practice. Search offers the theory day of the company emergency -training course also in digital form. The advantage of e-learning is that the student can do the course at his own speed and in his own time. During the practice day in class ‘realistic’ exercises are central. Search provides the company emergency-course ‘in company’ , as a group training at our training centres or as a partially digital training. Our experienced teachers can incorporate company-specific subjects into the training courses, for a made-to-measure training which links up perfectly with the procedures in your organisation.

Evacuation

The job of a company emergency -trained worker will become easier if his fellow-workers also know the basic principles needed to evacuate a site. That’s why Search has developed the digital training ‘Evacuation’. The theoretical part can be done digitally and is provided with a self-test. The students use it as a foundation for the knowledge and skills they can later test during exercises led by our expert trainers and the existing in-company emergency response team.
