Training Safety for operational managers
Within the framework of the Health and Safety at Work, (HSW) -legislation employers and employees are obliged to pay attention to safety, health and the environment during work. Employers should offer their employees and management the proper safety training to ensure healthy and safe working conditions. Two training courses have been developed within the framework of safety at work, based on the VCA attainment levels for 2004: a basic contractor safety training course (VCA-Basic) and a contractor safety training for operative management (VCA-VOL).
Management plays an important role in drawing up, implementing and enforcing safety policy. ‘Practice is what you preach’, but then management must have sufficient knowledge at its disposal. The Training Safety for operational managers is meant for operative management working on location in manufacturing, earth moving, civil engineering, building and demolition companies. Non-certified companies also use (part of) the safety training courses frequently to train their employees effectively within the framework of their HSW-obligations.
The Training Safety for operational managers teaches you how to improve your employees’ safety awareness and posture during work. During this three-day safety training all subjects which have a bearing on management will be raised. The educational tools used in our safety training courses have a modular structure and make use of modern educational methods. If desired, this course can also be done in the evenings or during weekends.
Apart from the group training courses Training Basic safety and Training Safety for operational managers, Search also offers these courses in a digital form, as e-learning. This teaching method allows students to complete the safety course of their choice in their own time and at their own pace. This way you avoid having to assemble a group of employees to sit in a classroom together. Moreover, students will complete the course in a digital form much faster. The safety training courses are rounded off by taking an exam. Students who pass the exam receive a personal certificate which is valid for ten years.
