Training Safety for temporary employees (VCU)
Temporary employment agencies, professional employer organisations and other staffing agencies supply employees to companies in which the work entails a heightened safety risk to the temporary staff. The Arbo-legislation (Health and Safety at Work, HSW) obliges employers and employees to pay attention to safety, health and the environment during work. Host employers are therefore obliged to inform temporary employees on the workplace about health and safety at work and about the rules or regulations on safety, health, welfare and environment which apply within the organisation.
VCA-certified companies in soil transport, civil engineering, electrical and installation engineering, process industry, production sector and technical services increasingly demand VCA-certified temporary labour (with a Basic Contractor Safety training). With this in mind, the VCU-certificate has been developed: Safety Checklist for Temporary employment agencies and professional employer organisations. Temporary employment agencies and other staffing firms who provide their temporary workers with a Training Safety for temporary employees (VCU) can be assured that they possess the required safety knowledge.
