Search exports e-learning to China
From 16-21 January, a Dutch economic mission of 58 companies from various sectors visited China. At the head of the mission was state secretary Karien van Gennip. Mr. Loek Hermans, chairman of MKB Nederland (small and medium sized businesses in the Netherlands) led the delegation.
The visit’s aim was to reinforce mutual economic and trade relations between the countries. For that purpose, Dutch entrepreneurs visited three major Chinese cities: Beijing, Nanjing and Shanghai. The programme in Beijing included a meeting with the Chinese trade minister, Bo Xilai. During the tour, all participants conducted talks with potential Chinese trade partners.
That’s also what Eugène Janssen, managing director at Search, did. He did very well too, because the Chinese turned out to be seriously interested in e-learning. In particular in the basic training e-environment, as well as the e-VCA and e-VCA VOL safety training courses (basic contractor safety training and contractor safety training for executives, respectively). That’s hardly surprising in itself, because the number of accidents at Chinese building sites is very high compared with - for example - our country. After a German and English version of these digital safety training courses, Search will shortly develop a Chinese version and provide training–on-the-job for groups of Chinese at large industrial and construction projects in Europe. Apart from that, it is now known for certain that Search will participate in a number of projects in China.
