Training Emergency Worker and evacuation training
Since 1994, businesses and government agencies are obliged to train company emergency response (BHV) persons. According to the Dutch law on safety and health at work (Arbo), every employer is responsible for his clients’, visitors’ and employees’ safety. Among every 50 employees, at least one employee should be appointed as a company emergency response person who can act effectively in emergency situations.
The company emergency response (BHV) person has a responsible task. In case of an accident or calamity, he – or she – must be able to take effective measures to guarantee everybody’s safety. When an industrial accident or a fire occurs, or if there is a bomb alert he has to bring in the emergency services and the authorities. He must give first aid, extinguish a small fire and supervise an evacuation. All this requires quite a bit of training.
Search has developed a broad range of training courses in the field of safety, environment, quality care and safety and health at work. The company emergency response (BHV) training consists of a theoretical part and a practical day. To save you, as an employer, time and money, Search also offers the theoretical part in a digital form. The advantage of e-learning is that your people can do the course in their own time and at their own pace. The practical class is dominated by ‘life-like’ exercises, in which emergency situations are imitated. Search offers the Training Emergency Worker as ‘in company’ training, as a group training at our training centres or in a digital form. Of course, our experienced teachers can incorporate company-specific subjects into the training courses. The result is a made-to-measure training solution which links up perfectly with the day-to-day practice in your organisation. To provide the statutory extra training for company emergency response persons, Search has developed the refresher Training Emergency worker.

The theory is available in a conventional as well as in a digital form and creates the foundation for the knowledge and skills which later, as a group training, can be practised by our expert trainers.
